Wanted presents the work of Helmut Newton alongside that of two of his friends and contemporaries, Larry Clark & Ralph Gibson.‘Wanted’ will be shown at the Helmut Newton Foundation from June 3rd until November 18th, 2007.
The central exhibition room is dedicated to two (in)famous bodies of work, “Tulsa” and “Teenage Lust”, by the photographer and film-maker, Larry Clark. Created in the sixties and seventies, Clark revealed to us the world of teenage sex and drug use in a way that had been taboo up until that time. In this he was the most influential predecessor of photographers like Nan Goldin and Richard Billingham.

Wanted apresenta o trabalho de Helmut Newton conjuntamente com dois dos seus amigos e contemporâneos, Larry Clark e Ralph Gibson. ‘Wanted’ está a ser exibida na Fundação Helmut Newton desde 3 de Junho até 18 de Novembro de 2007. A sala central da exposição é dedicada a dois infâmes/famosos temas, “Tulsa” e “Teenage Lust”, pelo fotógrafo e realizador de cinema Larry Clark. Criados nos anos 60 e 70, nestes trabalhos Clark revelou-nos o mundo do sexo adolescente e de uso da droga de uma forma que tinha sido tabu até então. Nisto ele foi o predecessor mais influente de fotógrafos como Nan Goldin e Richard Billingham.
